Down a winding staircase of concrete, redwood, aggregate,
and finally a "gang plank," this staircase presented many
unique challenges. Moved by years of shifting earth, the
once straight stairway required that the lift's track be custom
bent several different ways to keep the unit tight to the
somewhat narrow path.
We chose Hawle for this location for its weather resistance
and ability to engineer just about any special bend possible.

A spiral staircase can present difficulties for
many stairlift companies. In fact, we recently
sold a job in which Acorn stairlifts promised a
completed job within 3 weeks and then gave up
on the job after waiting more than two months.
The job pictured here is a two-story home with
TWO spiral staircases! Hawle was able to
engineer one lift that fit absolutely perfectly!
We helped the client match the track color to a
near exact match to the hand rail. Our client is
extremely happy with the lift's appearance as
well as the way it rides and parks completely off
of the stairs.
|Which is better - Hawle or Bruno?
We are asked this question all the time. The answer
depends on the staircase configuration and user tastes. We
sell both and would contend that the quality and reliability
are about the same. Here are some advantages that each
